An engineered walnut floor in Esher deep cleaned and re-oiled in a single day — no sanding needed.
About this project
After a few years of family life, this walnut floor's oil finish had worn thin in front of the sofa and in the doorways. There was no need to sand away any of the wear layer.
We deep cleaned the floor with a specialist intensive cleaner and lightly buffed it to open the surface. A coloured maintenance oil was then worked in with a buffing machine to restore the rich tone of the walnut.
The floor was ready for light use the same evening. We left a care kit and advice on how often to re-oil.
